2205 duplex stainless steel (austenitic ferritic type) is a compound stainless steel consisting of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel-nitrogen alloys. It has high strength and good impact toughness and stress corrosion resistance.

2, 2507 duplex stainless steel

2507 duplex stainless steel is (ferritic-Austenitic type) consisting of 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum and 7% nickel. It has many properties of ferritic steel and austenitic steel. Because of the high content of chromium and molybdenum, it has good resistance to spot corrosion, slot corrosion and uniform corrosion.

The difference between 2205 and 2507

2205 duplex stainless steel suitable for temperature less than 40 degrees, concentration less than 20% sulfuric acid. 2507 duplex stainless steel has stronger corrosion resistance to diluted sulfuric acid mixed with chloride ions, and is also used in diluted hydrochloric acid environment, with strong spot damage and crack corrosion resistance.

2507 price is much higher than 2205 duplex stainless steel, generally not used in sulfuric acid resistance. The chemical composition is slightly different, the density is the same so a ton of both weigh the same.
