Organoclay rheological additive with good suspension thixotropic features , Bentonite organoclay made from China
Modified bentonite CP-257 has wide application range including low polarity to high polarity systems. Thickener organoclay is a new style of organo clay rheological additive made from bentonite. Organophilic clay is used in solvent and resin systems. Rheological additive with high purity, low silica content and moisture content (105℃,2hr) is ≤3.5%.

4, Using
It can be added directly in powder under high shear condition. Addition level is commonly 0.1%~1.0% (7%-10% in greases) of total formulation by weight. In low and medium polarity solvents, polar activator is required to achieve better performance.
The addition procedure is suggested as below.
If to make pre-gel, better efficiency can be achieved. Addition level in pre-gel is 8%-10% of total pre-gel in weight.
Pre-gel procedure is as below.
Polar activator is suggested to be ethanol/water (95/5)or acetone/water (95/5). Dosage of polar activator is about 10%-35% of CP-257 by weight.

The suggested addition level of our organoclay and polar activator is based on our lab testing. Exact dosage for detail formulation should be based on user’s testing.
