Different country has different requirement on their ITS solution, and thus they use different communication protocol, this makes the supplier of the VMS&VTS found it difficult to integrate into various center control system.

Yaham is not only a manufacturer of VMS&VTS, but also capable of software and protocol development. We can be compatible to the required control center.

System Function

1. Able to read the message and script transaction, containing the display content and settings, generated by the SPIC /CPIC / Commercial Advertising System(CAS) through the network.

2. Able to decode the transaction to a format ready for display on the LED panel with the assigned attributes which include colour and display effect.

3. Able to display Real Time Clock, Train Destination and Time Till Next Train information generated by the SPIC or by other computer systems via the SPIC through the network.

4. The status can be monitored in real time by the SPIC. The status information include:

a) Equipment health status, 

b) Current message ID, 

c) Diagnostic information, 

d) Current operating mode: OK / failed / reset / blanked / LED power on or off. 

5. The ID, message or graphic including the display attributes of the current display message/graphics can be return to the SPIC when requested.

6. Self-diagnosis can be performed when requested by the SPIC. Diagnosis results can be sent back automatically to the SPIC when the diagnostic process is completed. 

7. SPIC shall transfer executable, pre-defined messages, default messages, Chinese ET font files and English font files to the PID, if required. 

8. Accept the existing data types from SPIC/CPIC/CAS to perform the various functions. These data types include: Normal Data, Special Data, Emergency Data, Pre- defined Data and Default Data. 

9. Acknowledge the SPIC /CPIC /CAS that the received data is either correct and has been processed or is incorrect and has not been processed. If the data is incorrect, the DBU shall carry on displaying the previous message/schedule. 

10. The failure of any PID shall not affect the operation of other parts of the PIDS. The SPIC shall be able to detect the failure and attempt recovery of any PID in the same station.
