Most
of our group are students of social communication in the Federal Fluminense
University (Fluminense means “from Rio de Janeiro”).
We try to understand the so called mass media from the perspective of its relations with the official political and financial power, in order to comprehend its mechanisms that more than forming opinions are able to mould perceptions, create models and reproduce the interests of the status quo, leaving behind its social function.
