A
journalism that does not need to be submitted to the interests of the
sponsors that supports it? Utopia.
Heretics,
magicians, insanes, utopian people, radicals, idealists, in the sense
of people who search for an ideal that can not be reached. As
centuries pass by, the names are changed, but the exclusion of the
pattern, of the normality, of the demanding but valid order is
maintained.
But
it was the heretics who “rounded” the Earth and “flattened”
the pooles. The magicians “pushed” it a bit out of the center of
one of the solar systems. The insanes “gave” the Earth more
impulse and it began to revolve. Then everything went too fast,
transforming and impressing people, and the utopian persons were
placed between the “Time is Money” of the Industrial Revolution
and the “Imagine all the people” of John Lennon.
Today,
discarding good and evil doctrines, with no good or bad guys, with no
conscious individual versus mean system, we can see some human being
giving their best to keep the ability to criticize, to give opinion,
to question what, where, how, when, why, for whom... Even if and
rotation are each day faster, each day more disordered. Even if the
machines spin frenetically, giving no conditions for the transmitted
message to be properly absorbed.
Concepts
and numbers fade in the air, all is statistics, everyone is expert,
but no one guarantees anything. Yet, the credibility of the
centenarian newspaper is the support for many news, data, patterns,
versions...
And
so, citing Eduardo Galeano, the utopia, though too far to be touched,
is at least a horizon that makes us give a step forward and then
another and another and...
